Media Credential Information

1. CREDENTIALS
All news organizations planning coverage of the PGA Merchandise Show should read these instructions carefully and complete the application and regulations forms. The application is for accreditation only and does not necessarily ensure that editorial media credentials requested will automatically be issued. Submit BOTH forms by email or fax no later than January 16, 2009.

Upon review and approval of a news agency's application, under the guidelines described herein, news organizations will be issued credential confirmation by email. With photo ID and the confirmation email, media may pick up media badges, badge holders, PGA Show directory and press materials in the Media Center , OCCC Room 311, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 1:00 p.m.

2. ELIGIBILITY (Editorial v. Non-Editorial Badges)
Editorial media credentials are issued only to members of the working media 18 years of age and older covering the PGA Merchandise Show. Non-editorial staff are required to register as non-editorial media. Editorial media credentials will not be issued to non-editorial staff. Non-editorial staff includes organization executives and representatives from marketing, public relations advertising, publishing, sales, etc. Editorial Media credentials are issued for working media representatives exclusively and are non-transferable. The misuse of credentials will result in the automatic forfeiture of the credentials and all the privileges it entails. Please note: All applications for credentials will be screened carefully before approved. In addition, a photo ID or other form of identification and the email badge confirmation are required at registration.

Please note: If you have not previously attended a PGA Golf Exhibitions event as reporting media, supporting material (such as an editorial business card, copies of published work, editorial listing in masthead, etc.) is required to process your media credential request.

3. MEDIA CENTER
A comprehensive Media Center is available to all reporting media. Services include media registration, a working media area, lounge, exhibitor news conference facilities, private interview offices, photo studios, an exhibitor media library and more. 4. ACCOMMODATIONS/PARKING
A media room block has been reserved at the Marriott Courtyard (8600 Austrian Court), located within 1 mile of the Orange County Convention Center. The media rate is $155 and reservations can be made at http://www.pgashow.com/, housing page, select media category and use “media” as your password. Media rooms are limited and available first come, first served. Additional official housing accommodations for PGA Show attendees are available at http://www.pgashow.com/ or by calling 1-800-PGA-EXPO (312-527-7371). Limited free broadcast media parking (for reporting media carrying equipment) is available at the convention center. Once the free parking lot is full, paid parking is also available.
