AGM Retail Conference

Please join the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) for the 2008 AGM ORLANDO RETAIL CONFERENCE. The conference fee for members and co-workers is $95 per person. The Retail Conference includes a full day of timely retail-related educational topics to enhance your golf shop operation and profitability, the Annual Member Meeting, Election of Directors, Awards Luncheon, Front Nine Awards, evening Product Preview and reception. (Complimentary for AGM Members). Non-affiliated individuals may attend for $150 per person.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 17, 2008 - 2008 AGM ORLANDO BUYING STRATEGIES COURSES

ORANGE COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER, ORLANDO, FL

Due to space and time considerations, we are not able to offer our Buying Strategies Courses during the AGM Annual Retail Conference. For those interested in taking the courses while at the PGA Merchandise Show, we have secured a meeting room close to the apparel section of the Convention Center. The program description and time is as follows:

  • 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. - BUYING STRATEGIES I
    Presented by Tracy Moffatt, AGM Education Team
    This basic and/or refresher course is the prerequisite for the series and focuses on merchandise strategies, classification planning, daily/monthly sales reports.

  • 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - BUYING STRATEGIES II
    Presented by Lisa Langas, AGM Education Team
    The second course in the series will more closely focus on retail math, stock-to-sales ratios, markup and turnover.

  • 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. - BUYING STRATEGIES III
    Presented by Becky Wilkins, AGM Education Team
    Putting it all together. This course takes your forecasts and translates them into planned inventory levels for your purchases enabling you to create an OTB. This will enable you to place proper amounts of future orders and consistently monitor your success. You will complete a working model to adapt to your needs.
